Hyperstack and RunPod are unusually close on price, which makes the non-price differences decide it. On on-demand H100s Hyperstack is $2.50/hr against RunPod's $2.89/hr, so Hyperstack is actually cheaper. On A100s it is $1.60 against $1.59, a penny apart. On H200s, $3.99 against $3.79. On B200s, $6.00 against $6.79. Hyperstack wins some, RunPod wins others, and on the whole they are within about 15% of each other on every model both list. Hyperstack is a NexGen Cloud product running on European infrastructure, with VM-based instances, persistent storage, NVLink on multi-GPU nodes and a focus on sustained workloads; it bills by the minute and expects you to keep an instance for a while. RunPod is container-first, bills by the second, starts in seconds, and adds a community tier where third-party hardware brings H100s down to $1.99/hr. That community tier is the real difference: it is cheaper than anything Hyperstack offers, at the cost of renting somebody else's machine. If your workload is steady and you want a conventional VM in Europe with predictable performance, Hyperstack's on-demand price is the better one. If you want to start a container for twenty minutes, or you are willing to accept marketplace hardware to halve the bill, RunPod's model fits and Hyperstack has no equivalent.
