Hetzner pricing questions
What is the cheapest Hetzner Cloud plan?
CX23 at €5.99 ($7.09) a month, or €0.0096 ($0.0114) an hour (2 vCPU, 4 GB RAM, 40 GB SSD). The most expensive, CCX63, costs €853.99 ($1,007.59) a month. When we checked, Hetzner listed CX23 as not available to order; the cheapest plan you could order was CPX02 at €6.49 ($8.09). Prices last checked 28 Oct 2026.
CX vs CAX vs CPX vs CCX: what is the difference?
CX is Cost-Optimized with shared Intel®/AMD vCPUs, 4 plans from €5.99 ($7.09) a month. CAX is Cost-Optimized with shared Ampere® vCPUs, 4 plans from €6.49 ($7.59) a month. CPX is Regular Performance with shared AMD vCPUs, 7 plans from €6.49 ($8.09) a month. CCX is General Purpose with dedicated AMD vCPUs, 6 plans from €43.49 ($51.09) a month. Shared vCPUs are cheaper; dedicated ones keep their performance under constant load.
Does Hetzner charge by the hour?
Yes. Every plan has an hourly rate as well as a monthly one: CX23 is €0.0096 ($0.0114) an hour and CCX63 €1.3686 ($1.6148) an hour. The monthly price is a cap: a server that runs all month never costs more.
Do Hetzner prices include VAT, IPv4 and traffic?
VAT is not included; Hetzner adds it at checkout where it applies. The primary IPv4 address is included, at €0.50 a month ($0.60); a server without one costs that much less. Traffic of 20 to 60 TB a month is included in EU locations, and each extra TB costs €1.00 ($1.20).
What happened to Hetzner CX22 and CX32?
Hetzner no longer sells them. It lists CX23 in place of CX22, CX33 in place of CX32, CX43 in place of CX42, CX53 in place of CX52, each with the same vCPU, RAM and disk. Today CX23 costs €5.99 ($7.09) a month and CX33 costs €8.99 ($10.59) a month, after the price change of 15 Jun 2026. Servers already running on an old plan keep working.
