What CoreWeave sells is a GPU cloud designed for scale: InfiniBand interconnect, Kubernetes-native orchestration, and reserved contracts negotiated for fleets of hundreds or thousands of cards over months. Its on-demand rate is deliberately unattractive because on-demand is not the business; if you are seriously considering CoreWeave you are talking to sales, and the price you would pay is not the one published here. RunPod is built for the opposite case: a single container, started in seconds, billed by the second, on either its own hardware or a community host. There is no contract, no minimum, and no interconnect worth planning a distributed run around. For anyone renting a few GPUs for experiments, fine-tuning or inference, RunPod is the right tool and the cheaper one by a wide margin. For a company building a training cluster, CoreWeave is in a different market and this comparison does not capture it.
